Eric D. Johnson of Potash Hill Rd. in Hampden, MA, died suddenly of natural causes on July 28, 1985, at age 38, at the Springfield Unit of Bay State Medical Center. For 15 years Eric was owner and operator of Eric's Auto Repairs in East Longmeadow. Born in Springfield and a 13-year resident of Hampden, he graduated from East Longmeadow High School and from Franklin Institute in Boston as an automotive technician.

He was survived by his wife, the former Linda Johnson, ELHS '65;, one son and one daughter, both at home; his parents; and his maternal grandmother. (Excerpted from the Springfield Morning Union, July 30, 1985)
