The following obituary for Betty Prendergast Holt was published by the Springfield Union-News on July 15, 2001:

WEST TISBURY - Elizabeth Ann Holt, 54, of this town, died Friday at home. Born in Springfield, she lived in Bernardston for many years and moved to West Tisbury in 1974. She worked at the Four Leaf Clover Restaurant in Bernardston, and recently at the Conroy Apothecary in North Tisbury. She leaves her husband, Robert W. Holt; two sons, Ronald T. and Robert C. Holt; a daughter, Briana V. Holt; a brother, Michael J. Prendergast; and two sisters, Sandra J. Weber of Ohio and Kathleen Hobaica of East Longmeadow. The funeral will be Monday morning at Sacred Heart Start of the Sea Church in Oak Bluffs. Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs, is in charge.
