I visited with Ed in June of this year when I was told he wasn't feeling well due to pneumonia and other complications. At that time he was in recovery mode and doing better, gaining strength and doing rehab. I was shocked to see his name in the obits. of the Springfield Rebublican on Sunday 11/9/14. Edward will be sadly missed by all of us who knew him. Our class was well represented at Ed's wake by classmates Pat Bean,Kathy Berard (Scott), Pam Manning (O'keefe) and myself Bill Donovan. God Bless Edward Croken- from the class of 64! He was a good man.

Amen- Eddy was a good friend, someone you could count on. I feel fortunate to be able to remember him like he looked in his high school senior picture, since I moved away after graduation. I would imagine Tillio saw a somewhat different Ed last June. May he rest in peace and may God bless him. Brian Johnson

I did not know Eddy very well in school. He  seemed to be a quiet guy but I am sad our class lost another person. His life seemed to be quite full and I hope happy.

Eddie was a good guy.  Very quiet compared to many of us.  I remember him, and was sad to hear of his passing.
